About the Artist

Guo Xingyue

Guo Xingyue graduated from Studio One of the Sculpture Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Her practice centers on materials such as wood, clay, plaster, and wool—substances that lend themselves to direct construction and sculpting. Her work can be understood as a real-time response to the interactions between material, space, and self within a given moment. Each piece serves as a faithful and detailed record of this process of capture, often taking the form of figurative sculpture.
