This group of works was created during Yumo and Yangping's stay in Iceland. It used a means of cyanotype photography, and was inspired and created by the natural materials that the artist collected in Iceland. This series of works consists of 48 pieces, and records their 76 days of polar night life.

“It was even more difficult for me to collect sunlight in the case of polar night. The lack of light made it so much longer to produce the final images. It took me 24 to 48 hours instead of 15-20 minutes to develop blurred images. ” said the artist.

These 48 pieces records her limited sunlight during the 76 polar nights.“ They made me redefine the light, the air, the plants, the space of myself, and the ‘gift’ that darkness gave me. These works are the creation of God. While they will always be fixed within the frames forever.”

The artist originally prepared 76 sheets, however, due to the severe weather conditions, 28 of them were gone with “wind” and “snow”.
